Success... What is success??? What is it exactly???
Success can be measured in many different ways... For me, it's how well I have lived and how I have made use of opportunities given to me...
Success is however seen very very differently by people... Success is now measured by how rich a person is... It is now measured by how good a job a person has... It is measured by how many certificates a person have.. It is now measured by a person's placing on planet Earth...
Success is measured in this country by the results... Everyone is result-oriented... Everyone only bothers about their results, on their marks... But not on how well they do... Ya, you can argue that marks show how well one has done... But no, this is not the way it is being viewed... MARKS are viewed of higher IMPORTANCE than how well someone has done... Everyone only cares about marks, the numbers.... How many actually reflect upon their mistakes as well as their correct answers...
Success is measured by results... Everyone studies to be successful... Fast paced society means more challenges, more competition... Everyone studies, but who truly understands and APPLY what they have learnt??? Students have become result-orientated... No more on how have you done is heard along any corridor nowadays... Instead, it's that familiar how many marks did you get... This proves my point... IT IS THE NUMBER THAT PEOPLE ARE LOOKING AT, and NOT how well one has done....
Success is now viewed as the number that one obtains... Leading to a result-orientated society that only work for numbers... Numbers are seen too 'highly' by students and adults alike... It is only a mark, sort of something that actually allows one to have a rough idea how well one has done...
But time has let to evolutions... This mark becomes what people see... Success is measured by that mark... All that every single student cares about is that mark, that number...
Success should not be measured in terms of results or wealth....
Success should be measured based on how well you have lived your life to the fullest... You come into this world with nothing and leave with nothing... Even if you are the richest man, you cant bring your wealth into the grave with you... All you leave is a legacy and memories...
Compare a man who have slogged his guts out to be rich to one that lives day by day and enjoys every moment... Who is more successful???
The narrow minded would say the rich man... Few would say the latter... I would say the latter...
He is happy everyday... He loves what he is doing.... He enjoys every single precious second of his life... The rich man is happy to be rich... But that is only after he is rich... While he is slogging, he is complaining about the amount of work to be done... He is happy, but only when he is rich... During the process though, do you people think he is happy???
Success, in my opinion, is measured by how you have made full use of every single day of your life... Living it to the fullest and tasting and savouring every single moment....
To be successful is to be successful in your own life... Being happy... Making full use of your time... Enjoying everything that you do... That's how you measure your success...
There are 2 types of people... One that view success like me and the other, the result orientated...
