Family
They are probably the closet people to us... I realised that a couple of my friends have been experiencing problems with their family. Most cant get along with their parents... Is it due to lack of communication?? Personally, i feel tat its due to lack of understanding... Sometimes, we just need to be tolerant.. ( Yes, i noe its irritating..) Put urself in their shoes.. They actually do that because they are worried about us.. I guess we will never understand till we have children.. In their perspective, computer is for research, not games.. Study not for interest, but for getting a job easier next time.. They went through wat we are going through now, so i guess, they are right??? Dun go overboard with ur demands ( laptop, iPhone etc).. Try putting urself in their shoes, by understanding their intentions, then a compromise i s easier.. Try to give way to each other, tell them if their expectations are too high, and dun be afraid to ask for TIME.. To get along with ur parents, u need to try to understand them, they actually care about us a lot, they probably just dunnoe how to express themselves in a way deem acceptable by us..
Darrell, u should make an effort, at least do ur best, convince ur parents u DESERVE more....
Friends
Whenever i think about tis word, i always ask myself, wat is a TRUE FRIEND?? Is it our best friend or wat??? It also reminds me of the people around me that find it hard to make friends.. I understand how these people feel... Everyone been through the stage before. just that we dun realise it.. Stepping into a new environment, who had friends?? People finding it hard to find friends tend to try to make friends with the popular few.. In my opinion, that is the wrong way, and probably the reason why they find it hard to make friends.. Popular people tend to have a big personality, or at least pretend, WHAT makes u think that he will care about a small fly like u?? Find people that do not attract attention and befriend them, they probably are in the same situation as you.. Slowly but surely, u will have friends that treat you like a brother, like family.. Being with a popular person, u tend to follow him around, and make no decisions for urself.. U will FOREVER be in someone's shadow, resulting in ur current state.. By being with someone 'popular' or self-proclaimed, u only make urself less confident and him more.... Seh Hian, it is not a mistake to sit with samuel.. I do believe in fate, a bit, it's probably a test or even a hint on how to make and choose friends.. A TRUE one... If u cannot make friends with others because of ur personality, it's NOT ur fault... A REAL FRIEND ACCEPTS YOU FOR WHO YOU ARE.. Making friends is easy, but making real friends is difficult... I may not be popular, but i am proud to say i have real and true friends....
You Hong- The closest friend of mine.. Also the first i knew in the new school.. Took great care of me in Dongbei>> Did many other great things.. THANK YOU!!!!
Darrell- The most successful among us ba, except for KS... (LOL, Derek beat u in that aspect) Intelligent, and gives valuable advice and many many more!!!!!
Desmond- The quietest yet the smartest... Trust me everybody, his suan is much better than mine, just that he is quiet.. Dun try tis muscular man!!!
Wilson- The richest!!! Iinside his wallet is a bottomless pit of cash!!( joking la) May not be as smart as us, but makes it up in lots of ways.. His english is SUPERB!!! (guess all rich ppl are like tat) Treats me very well and make me feel like i am his family.. TY>>>> Will repay u
Derek- The most EXPLOSIVE amongst us in terms of his voice(think he swallowed microphones when he was 3) and others that WE KNOW WELL.. Haha..
These are the prominent ones.. Grew closer when we went to Dongbei(miss it so much!!) Sorry to the others whose names are not up there, you all are still my friends...
Back to the topic... Wats the point of being with Mr Popular?? Will u ever meet a real and true friend this way?? Start being urself, and not try to be someone else... The tables will eventually turn.. Dun give up!! Jyjy, i will support u... HWAITING!!!!
